Diane L. Barber (born 1952), an American cell biologist, is a Professor and former Chair in the Department of Cell and Tissue Biology at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She is an elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB). In addition to teaching graduate and professional students and her administrative service, she directed a research laboratory funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF).
