Hippolyte Arnoux (French: [ipɔlit aʁnu]; active c. 1860 – c. 1891) was a French photographer and publisher. He was one of the first photographers to produce images of people and places in Ottoman Egypt. He is mainly known for his studio portraits and scenes of life in Egypt, as well as for his album of documentary photographs of the construction of the Suez Canal. His photographs have been presented in specialized collections and exhibitions in the Middle East, Europe, the US, New Zealand and Australia.
