Musical Instruments
Frank Owens (September 1, 1933 – September 15, 2023) was a multi-genre American pianist, arranger, composer, and conductor who found accolades on Broadway, in recording studios, and a host of stages large and small around the globe. While noted as a behind-the-scenes player, the classically-trained Owens drove and distilled the musical voice for performers ranging from folk and country to jazz and blues to pop and R&B music. As an accompanist, he helped guide the artistic expression of vocalists as well as tap, jazz, and ballet dancers.
