Elasis is a genus of flowering plants in the family Commelinaceae. It includes two species of subshrubs native to southern Mexico, Central America, and Ecuador. Elasis guatemalensis (C.B.Clarke) M.Pell. – southern Mexico to Nicaragua Elasis hirsuta (Kunth) D.R.Hunt – Ecuador
